About

Situated at Treeton the heart of South Yorkshire just 10 minutes from Junctions 31 and 33 of the M1 motorway. Day to day management of the club is undertaken by a committee elected from the general membership at the clubs annual general meeting. Our aim is to encourage and promote wakeboarding and skiing for members and their families.

South Yorkshire Boat and Ski Club was formed in the early 1970's and is located at Treeton in South Yorkshire. At the South East corner of Sheffield/Rotherham, originally the old course of the river Rother it combines the natural landscape of the area and legacy from the local mining industry to provide a lake for private members to enjoy wakeboarding, water-skiing, and other motorised water sports activities.

Though limited to private members, we are part of the local community. We promote the sport within the club and beyond, providing a venue for many national events throughout the year whilst also supporting the local angling community allowing many people access to water based recreational activities.

The club is committed to ensuring the Health and Safety of its members, current policy’s relating to this and child welfare are available at the clubhouse.

As an affiliated club to our governing body, British Waterski and Wakeboard Federation (BWSF) we encourage the development of children in the sport through the British Waterski and Wakeboard cutting edge programme that includes both wakeboarding and water-skiing. These courses are run throughout the summer by our qualified coaches. Members can also enjoy access to a wide variety of benefits through the BWSF.
